Bladder problems
People with multiple sclerosis may experience a range of bladder problems. Those who experience urinary retention (incomplete bladder emptying) may need to use a catheter. Although less common than urinary retention, sudden complete emptying of urine (reflex incontinence) can also be associated with multiple sclerosis. Products that can help manage this include:

Bowel problems
Bowel problems include incontinence and constipation. Bowel problems can often be improved by making specific changes to a person’s diet. There are also several types of medication that can help. Anal irrigation is another solution that may help to prevent constipation and faecal incontinence – simply because it ensures regular bowel habits. 

Erectile dysfunction
A penile implant may be appropriate for men with erectile dysfunction.
