It is difficult or painful to remove adhesive

It can be difficult or painful to remove your ostomy appliance when it is adhered strongly to the skin. Removing the appliance too roughly or too frequently can break down the top layer of the skin, leading to pain and irritation. See below for recommendations.

The sting-free Brava® Adhesive Remover enables you to remove your baseplate and leftover residue easily. It doesn’t contain alcohol so it shouldn’t sting or hurt the skin. It dries within seconds and does not affect further adhesion, leaving you ready to apply a new baseplate.

The Brava® Adhesive Remover comes as a spray and a convenient wipe. The gentle spray makes it easy to remove the baseplate, while the wipe gently removes any adhesive residue on the skin. The wipe is practical when outside of your home or travelling because of its size.
