About me: Hello! I’m Anna. I have long-segment Hirschsprung’s, and my first surgeries and ileostomy were when I was under the age of 3. My first ileostomy was removed, and I used nappies until I was 14, when I got my loop ileostomy. The loop ended up failing, and I had revision surgery to make it an end ileostomy at 25, and just this year, I had more revision surgery to try and improve my wellbeing and day-to-day life. I do have short gut syndrome and a range of other medical conditions that are all juggled to try and ensure a great quality of life.
When I’m not fussing with the occasional broken seal, I enjoy sewing, embroidery, reading, cycling, and gaming (digital and table-top).
Happy to chat about everything and anything to help get us all through the oddities that come with stomas.
