About Me: Hi, I'm Leonard. In 2021, I was feeling unwell, losing weight, and decided to see a doctor, but that didn’t help much. I turned 50 in June. In September, I received the bowel cancer screening test, completed it, and sent it in.I was then contacted by a specialist clinic in Orange and was scheduled for a colonoscopy in early December. The results revealed I had bowel cancer.I started treatment in March 2022, undergoing over 16 months of chemotherapy and radiation for two tumors. I had bowel surgery in September 2022, which resulted in a permanent stoma and significant changes to my life. But ultimately, it’s for the best.
