About Me: Hi, I'm Sandra. In July 2022, following a lovely day out in the Hunter Valley, I returned home feeling I urgently needed to urinate. When I went to the toilet, I passed a large amount of blood, including large clots. An emergency trip followed. On discharge the following day, I was told to prepare for a bladder cancer diagnosis. This warning was followed by formal diagnosis, chemotherapy and urostomy surgery. It was such a whirlwind fueled by my anger that my GP had repeatedly dismissed my symptoms. Almost 3 years on, I'm very grateful to be cancer-free and enjoying all that life has to offer.
