About me: Hi, I'm Vivien. I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2004 after noticing blood after going to the toilet. Fortunately, the tumours were confined to the bladder and hadn't invaded the muscle. After my operation, I was told that the cancer hadn't spread, which was great news. However, it did take a while to come to terms with my urostomy, mainly building up confidence and finding the appliances that suited me. It all takes a while, but now, 21 years later, I am thankful that I'm alive and well.
