About me: Hi, I'm Lynn. I've had bowel issues from when I was a teenager, and all through adulthood. As the years went by, my bowel was not functioning properly, and I underwent numerous abdominal exploratory surgeries to find a cause. Years of scans and medical opinions, as well as numerous visits to the Emergency Department in immense pain, finally resulted in a total colectomy with ileostomy and rectal closure. That was 17years ago, and I have never looked back. It was a huge adjustment, but with support from family and friends, as well as Ostomy groups and Stoma nurses, I finally had some quality of life.
