Get to know me

Hey, I’m Owen, an endurance runner, music lover, and someone who’s become passionate about health after going through a major journey with chronic illness. I now live with an ileostomy, and it’s shifted how I see life, movement, and wellbeing.I spend a lot of time running, exploring recovery methods like cold and hot therapy, eating to fuel performance, and staying mindful through it all.

I’m driven to help others feel confident in their bodies, especially those navigating life with an ostomy. Whether I’m training, catching up with mates, or sharing my journey online, I aim to show that living boldly is always possible.

In 2018, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and spent years battling the disease while trying every treatment available. After a long journey of hospital visits, medications, and setbacks, I underwent a total colectomy in November 2022, which gave me a second chance at life. Living with an ileostomy hasn’t held me back; it’s pushed me to go further.

From doing a sprint triathlon, running marathons and ultramarathons to launching my activewear brand for people with and without medical needs, I’m passionate about showing what’s possible with an ostomy. I proudly share my story to help others feel confident, strong, and supported.

Join our upcoming catchups

I will now be hosting bi-monthly catchups, giving ostomates a regular space to connect, share experiences, and support one another. These relaxed sessions are designed to help you feel heard, understood, and part of a community that truly gets it. Whether you're newly adjusting or have been living with a stoma for years, everyone is welcome.

Each session will explore a different theme based on what matters most to you (from managing daily routines to navigating social situations and boosting confidence). It’s a chance to ask questions, swap tips, or simply listen in and know you’re not alone. I’d love for you to join us.
